Who we are

OTP Asset Management Romania is a member of OTP Group, was established in 2007 and currently it is in the top of the most important fund managers in Romania. OTP Asset Management Romania benefits from the regional experience of its majority shareholder, OTP Fund Management, who is a market leader in Hungary, with an experience of over 20 years in the field of investment fund management. OTP Fund Management is present in Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Ukraine and manages in Hungary alone over 5 billion euros, in more than 90 investment funds.

OTP Group is present in 9 countries in the region – Hungary, Slovakia, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Ukraine, Montenegro and Russia.

Ever since its launch and up until now, OTP Asset Management Romania has grown constantly, and the centre of its activities is the generation of new ways through which clients can be best served. In the future, the company intends to complete the funds’ portfolio in order to offer to its clients a wide array of products, diversified from a geographic and currency point of view, always seeking to offer solid performance in order to meet the clients’ expectations and their needs, which are continuously changing.

OTP Asset Management Romania S.A.I. S.A. is established as a two-tier company, and its management is structured based on two levels: the Supervisory Board and the Management Board of the company.

The company managers, as entailed by the provisions of Ordinance no 32/2012, authorised by the FSA are Mr Dan Marius Popovici and Mr Dragoș Gabriel Manolescu. The representatives of the company management members, in the sense of the provisions of Ordinance no 32/2012, who will fulfil in the absence of the FSA authorised company managers all attributions which are strictly regulated by the provisions of Ordinance no 32/2012, are Mr Alexandru Ilisie and Mr Filon-Daniel Anghel-Grigore.

Gáti László György

Chairman of the company’s Management Board

Mr Gáti László György has a vast experience in the financial-banking area of over 20 years, and he has held management positions in internationally renowned banking groups. Mr Gáti László has been active for over 12 years in the field of investments, and is currently a member of the OTP Fund Management Board of Directors. Mr Gáti László is an active member of the Association of Hungarian Investment Fund and Asset Management Companies.

Dan Marius Popovici

Member of the company’s Management Board

Dl. Dan Marius Popovici holds the position of General Manager of the Company. Mr Popovici graduated the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, majoring in “Economic Engineering” and has a Master’s Degree in “Financial and Capital Markets Management” from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies. Mr Popovici has an experience of over 20 years in the field of Romanian capital markets, as he is involved in numerous projects regarding public offerings of securities (equities, corporate and municipal bonds etc.).

Dragoş Gabriel Manolescu

Member of the company’s Management Board

Mr Dragoş Gabriel Manolescu holds the position of Deputy General Manager of the company. Dragoș Manolescu graduated from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, the International Relations Faculty and has a Master’s Degree in International Projects’ Management from the same university. Mr Manolescu brings his added value to the team, having an experience of over 14 years in treasury departments of banking groups and asset management teams, where he was actively involved in rebranding of funds and portfolio rebalancing activities. His area of expertise mainly focuses on fixed income instruments’ portfolios.

Mr Simon Peter Janos

Chairman of the Supervisory Board

MR Simon Peter Janos is specialised in the field of collective investment portfolios. Mr Simon has advanced studies and superior skills attained as a result of advanced study programs within the financial field: CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Program, EFFAS (European Federation of Financial Analyst Societies) Program and is also an authorised broker on the spot and term markets of the Budapest Stock Exchange.

Mr Szabó Tamás Viktor

Member of the Supervisory Board

Mr Szabó Tamás Viktor has an experience of over 15 years in the field of investment funds management. Mr Szabó Tamás Viktor is currently the Head of the Private Banking Services and Network Management Department in OTP Bank Hungary.

Mr Ljubičić Gábor István

Member of the Supervisory Board

The experience of Mr Ljubičić Gábor István covers the banking sector, and he has attained a vast experience in OTP Bank as of 1993. Mr Ljubicic has held numerous key functions within the banking sector: Manager of the Foreign Exchange Department, Deputy Director and Director of the sales network of OTP Bank, Deputy Managing Director of the northern region of Hungary. Currently, Mr Ljubicicis the Vice-president of OTP Bank Romania and coordinates the retail division in what concerns the regional development of the group.
